Terms of Use
These terms set out the conditions on which SP Consulting ("we", "us") provides this website and its consultation service.

Acceptance
By using spconsulting.ca you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please stop using the website.
These terms cover use of the website and the submission of enquiries. If you retain us to handle an application, we will sign a separate service agreement, and that agreement prevails over these terms.

What we provide
We provide advice and representation on Canadian immigration, visas, study permits and business immigration.
The information on this website is general. It is not legal advice on your particular situation. Immigration rules change often, and the same rule applies differently depending on your circumstances.
Please do not rely on the website alone. Confirm your situation in an individual consultation before you apply.

Regulated immigration consultant
In Canada, only authorised representatives may provide immigration advice or representation for a fee. Our immigration work is carried out by a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC).
RCIC registration number: R510026
Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants are regulated by the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC) and are bound by its Code of Professional Conduct.
You can verify a consultant's registration yourself on the College's public register at www.college-ic.ca

Enquiries
Submitting an enquiry through the website is free and does not create a contract between us.
A consultant will review your enquiry and contact you within one to two business days. Response times may be longer when volumes are high.
We may decline to act if, having reviewed your enquiry and circumstances, we conclude that our service is not appropriate for you.

About outcomes
**We do not guarantee that a visa or permanent residence will be granted, and we cannot.**
Every immigration application is decided solely by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and the relevant government authorities. We have no power over that decision.
We have no special relationship with any government body, and we do not claim to be able to speed up processing or influence the result.
Any timelines or likelihood of success we give you are our assessment based on past cases and published criteria. They are not a promise of the outcome.

Fees and refunds
Our professional fees, government fees, disbursements, when they are payable and the refund terms are set out in your individual service agreement.
Government fees — application and biometrics fees, for example — are separate from ours, and as a rule the government does not refund them if an application is refused.
The payment page on this website is for paying an amount already agreed with your consultant. Please check the amount and the item before paying.

Your responsibilities
- Give us accurate and truthful information for your consultation and application
- Do not submit false documents regarding identity, education, work history or criminal record
- Tell us promptly if your circumstances change
- Do not use the website for improper purposes or interfere with its operation
- Do not submit an enquiry using someone else's name or contact details

Consequences of false information
Under Canadian immigration law, misrepresentation is a serious matter. It can result in more than a refusal — you may be barred from entering Canada for up to five years.
We are not responsible for the consequences of information you gave us that turns out to be untrue, and we may terminate the service agreement in that event.

Intellectual property
The text, images, logos, design and materials on this website belong to us or to their respective owners.
Beyond viewing them for your own reference, you need our prior written permission to copy, distribute, transmit or adapt them.

Links to other sites
This website links to external sites such as IRCC, provincial governments and educational institutions.
We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content. Your use of them is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

Limitation of liability
We work to keep the website accurate and current, but immigration rules change and content may fall out of date.
We are not liable for loss arising from decisions made in reliance on the website alone.
Nothing in this section limits our obligations under a service agreement, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Complaints
If you are dissatisfied with our service, please tell us in writing first at info@spconsulting.ca
If we cannot resolve the matter between us, you may complain directly to the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants about a consultant's compliance with the Code of Professional Conduct.

Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply in it.
The courts of British Columbia have jurisdiction over disputes arising from use of the service.
If you are a consumer resident in the Republic of Korea, this section does not remove consumer protections given to you by the law of your place of residence.

Changes to these terms
We may amend these terms. Amendments take effect when posted on the website, and we will give at least seven days' notice of significant changes.
